Flat Bottom Pouch
A flexible packing style with four seals is known as a quad-sealed pouch. A quad-sealed pouch has seals on the top and bottom, and two sides of the pouch each have a seal. This seals the pouch and renders it moisture- and airtight, protecting the goods within. A flexible packaging style with a flat bottom is a flat-bottom pouch. Because of its stability and upright position, the bag is simple to show and use. The form of the pouch’s bottom is the primary distinction between a quad-sealed pouch and a flat-bottom pouch. A flat-bottom pouch has a flat bottom, but a quad-sealed pouch has a rounded bottom. Depending on the product being packaged and the level of protection required, several materials can be utilised to create flat bottom and quad seal pouches. But some of the most popular ones are as follows:
Polyethylene (PE): PE is a robust, long-lasting, and moisture-resistant material. It works well for a wide range of goods, including food, drinks, and cosmetics.
Polypropylene (PP) is another resilient, robust, and recyclable material. It is a wonderful option for goods that must be portable and simple to handle.
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC): PVC is a less popular substance that is used to make things that must be shielded from oxygen or moisture. It cannot be recycled as easily as PE or PP.
Aluminium foil: It is a fantastic option for things that need to be shielded from oxygen or light. It is a wonderful option for packaging hot food because it is also a good heat conductor.
Paper: Paper, which is recyclable and biodegradable, is frequently used for food packaging. Although it can be coated with a moisture-resistant layer, it is not as moisture-resistant as plastic.
